make things a lot easier on you.
Repairing bad credit is not
easy, but you should repair your
credit if you want to get back on your
feet again. Our experience comes from dealing
with the Courts and Credit Reporting Agencies on
a daily basis as we search accuracy for
judgments, liens, charge-offs, creditors etc. In
the same way we use this information to collect
money we use this experience to correct and
improve your credit report.

correct it.

of status Discharged etc. Be sure all
creditors that were included in BK are
listed as such.
5. Judgments;
Are they marked paid if paid, were they in
BK and so noted, Did file a

and were granted an order
removing the Judgment from Public

be removed send a copy of the order to the

all the letters you sent. Now re- examine
them see what was corrected and what was

* When
sending letters limit 3 disputes per letter. If
you have more then 3 disputes send them multiple
letters with only three on a letter. I think it
is because they are lazy and if you ever speak
to them on the phone as I have you might as well
be talking to your dog, at least he will give
you an intelligent look.
* All mailing
should be send certified return receipt. Keep
these in case you need proof that you made these
disputes. You also have the option of making a
complaint with the Federal Trade
Commission.

IF
YOU HAVE A CREDIT PROBLEM, KEEP THIS IN
MIND:
1. Accurate
negative credit information cannot be
erased. If a credit repair company
tells you that it will be able to remove
negative information from your credit report,
they are not telling you the truth. If you have
a poor credit history, the only thing that will
improve your credit report is time.
We will
also give you a legal credit building
plan.
2. It is illegal
to hide bad credit. Some credit repair
companies will say they can "hide" bad credit by
helping you establish a new credit identity.
They will offer to create a new credit file for
you with a fake Social Security Number. Don't do
it! This is fraud and it is a crime.
3.
You can rebuild your own credit
record. Contact your creditors when you
realize you cannot make scheduled payments. If
you need help working out a payment plan and a
budget, contact your local credit counseling
service. Before using a local credit counseling
service, find out if the counselors are
certified, how much the services cost and if the
agency is accredited. Also, check with your
employer credit union or housing authority for
no-cost credit counseling programs.
If you
decide to seek assistance from a credit repair
company, you are protected under the Federal
Credit Repair Organizations
Act.
• Under the Credit
Repair Organizations Act, credit repair
companies cannot require you to pay until they
have completed the services they have
promised. We give you a written
guarantee on what we can change and what we can
not change. Our
Up-Front Fee is only for the Paralegal and
Postage Fees. Once your service has been met per
the agreement you pay the balance from the
escrow
account.
• Before
you sign a contract, the credit repair company
must tell you, in writing, what your legal
rights are.
•
A credit repair company
must give you a written contract which clearly
describes all of the terms and conditions of
payment, a detailed description of services to
be provided and an estimate of how long it will
take to complete these
services.
• You have
three days to cancel the contract between you
and the credit repair company.
•
Credit repair companies are prohibited
from making deceptive claims about their
services.
Since millions of
credit reports are sold daily, it is easy for
some information to be incorrect. You should
review your credit report on a regular basis and
correct mistakes immediately. If you want to
know about your credit, contact the three
bureaus cited below:
Equifax:
800-685-1111 www.equifax.com
Experian:
888-397-3742 www.experian.com
Trans
Union:
800-888-4213 www.transunion.com
If you
find a problem, the credit bureau has 30
business days to investigate and must
inform you of its findings within 10 days of
concluding its
investigation. |

About Your Credit
Report
What is a credit report (also
known as a credit file or profile)? It
is a written report, (stored in computers)
comprised of the following information about your
personal credit worthiness and debt repayment
history.
(1) Identification by
name, addresses, spouse's name, date of birth,
Social Security number, telephone number, place
of employment, mothers maiden name
etc.
(2) Credit Inquiries
- every time a subscriber (credit provider) runs
a credit report on a consumer, a record of the
file inquiry is made. It will remain on the file
in most states for one or two years. This is of
interest to creditors because it reveals recent
credit activity.
(3) Information in
public records and collection accounts are also
collected by (or reported) to these agencies.
Public records include courthouse records,
bankruptcies, judgments, lawsuits, criminal
etc.
(4) Credit History -
which includes the name and ID number of each
subscriber who makes a report and your
credit/debt repayment history. Also included is
the date an account was opened, credit limits,
current balance, monthly payment amount and
payment frequency for the last 12-24 months.
Records are dated with each request or entry.
Other information includes, but is not limited
to, consumer disputes, criminal convictions,
individual liability or joint liability of
accounts, co-maker or guarantor of payment on a
certain account, secured accounts and charge
offs -when a creditor has reported an unpaid
balance as a loss.
(5) Consumer
Statements - a statement - not to exceed 100
words - regarding any account(s) an individual
may wish to more accurately and completely
explain - often very helpful to credit
decisions. When is a credit file created?
Usually when you make application for a loan or
credit card, or when a party who extended credit
makes a report to their credit reporting service
on your debt repayment.
Who can
legally look at my credit
report? Credit reporting agency
subscribers comprised of banks and merchants etc.,
may not access an individual's credit record
unless authorized. This authorization is standard
procedure when you sign credit and loan
applications, life insurance applications,
employment applications, security clearance
requests , etc. Read the fine print on the
applications for more details.
How often
should I look at my credit report? If
you are actively using credit - using one or more
credit cards with monthly or bimonthly charge
activity, have installment loan(s), vehicle lease,
etc. review your credit file every nine to twelve
months, otherwise once every 15 months is
adequate.

Things to Be Cautious
of;
You see the advertisements in
newspapers, on TV, and on the Internet. You
hear them on the radio. You get fliers in the
mail. You may even get calls from
telemarketers offering credit repair services.
They all make the same
claims: *
“Credit problems? No problem!” * “We can erase your bad
credit,100% guaranteed.” * “Create a new credit
identity — legally.” * “We can remove
bankruptcies, judgments, liens, and bad
loans from your credit file forever!”
Do
yourself a favor and save some money, too.
Don't believe these statements. Only time,
a conscious effort, and a personal debt repayment
plan will improve your credit report.
The
Scam Everyday, companies nationwide appeal to
consumers with poor credit histories. They
promise, for a fee, to clean up your credit report
so you can get a car loan, a home mortgage,
insurance, or even a job. The truth is, they can't
deliver. After you pay them hundreds or thousands
of dollars in fees, these companies do nothing to
improve your credit report; most simply vanish
with your money.
The Warning Signs If you
decide to respond to a credit repair offer, look
for these tell-tale signs of a scam: companies
that want you to pay for credit repair services
before they provide any services.
Companies that do not tell you your legal
rights and what you can do for yourself for
free.
Companies that recommend that you not contact a
credit reporting company directly. Companies that
suggest that you try to invent a “new” credit
identity — and then, a new credit report — by
applying for an Employer Identification Number to
use instead of your Social Security number.
companies that advise you to dispute all
information in your credit report or take any
action that seems illegal, like creating a new
credit identity.
If you follow illegal
advice and commit fraud, you may be subject to
prosecution. You could be charged and prosecuted
for mail or wire fraud if you use the mail or
telephone to apply for credit and provide false
information.
It's a federal crime to lie
on a loan or credit application, to misrepresent
your Social Security number, and to obtain an
Employer Identification Number from the Internal
Revenue Service under false pretences.
